Hi dears! Do you have a newsletter for your business? Studies have shown that people need to see a message at least 10-12 times before it sinks in! 10 TIMES, and with the pandemic it’s probably even more now! That means the one time you posted your new service on your feed and then the two times you shared it in your stories is probably not sinking in for your ideal client. Today we’re chatting about why you need an email newsletter, and all of the benefits that it can bring to your business AND your ideal clients.

Why You Need an Email Newsletter

Information & Knowledge

Newsletters help increase understanding and knowledge of your brand. They’re great for giving your audience a bigger picture of who you are, and what your business is about. Newsletters are also great for helping get your message or previously created content to your audience on a platform that you control outside of social media, ensuring that your audience stands a better chance of seeing your message without an algorithm being involved.

Advertising & Marketing

Newsletters are a great way to promote a new product, service, or to use to help launch a new service. Email subscribers have already likely expressed some sort of interest in your business, and you’re making it easy for them to engage by delivering your offer directly to their inbox. Visual posts in your newsletter can help capture your readers’ interest, and ensure they act to get the information that interests them.

Pro Tip: Every now and then create a special offer or content just for your newsletter subscribers, something that other audiences don’t have access to.

Build Expertise

Newsletters can help establish your brand as an industry leader and lead to increased credibility with your audience. Especially if you’re delivering valuable, relevant content to your audience. Building expertise in a newsletter can be as easy as sending educational content with information that’s important to your readers, chatting about issues or trends in your industry, or even including details for any upcoming industry events or presentations.

Build Relationships

Consistently sending newsletters to your audience helps build relationships with your clients. By hearing from you regularly on a platform that you own they’re more likely to stay engaged with your brand. Your newsletter is also a great place for your readers to get to know you as a person, and your team better. Things like featuring a team member or a quick introduction are a great way to engage readers and build more of a relationship with your brand.

Widen Your Scope

Newsletters are a great way to reach your audience that may not follow you on social platforms. As crazy as it sounds, not everyone is on social media, but everyone does have an email account that they likely check daily. Sending a consistent newsletter ensures that you reach both audiences, and that one isn’t missing content the other might be getting because of an algorithm. Since your email is likely to stay in their inboxes at their fingertips, it might also encourage more engagement.

Use your newsletter as a recap to share the most important content you’ve shared from the previous week or couple of weeks and give your clients a chance to see your content again so you can drive them to the sales page, website, or opt-in. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel by creating all new content, and it gives those clients on your email list a great way to see a recap of the most important information from the week they are most likely interested in anyways.
